Abstract
A field experiment was conducted during rainy seasons of 2017 and 2018 to study the effect of sulphur and biofertilizers on growth, yield and quality of blackgram. Application of sulphur upto to 60 kg/ha to blackgram cv. Jawahar Urad-2 proved the most beneficial with respect to enhance all the growth and yield attributing characters, seed yield, seed quality and net income per hectare. The maximum seed yield was 12.34 q/ha, seed protein 23.83%, protein yield 294.6 kg/ha, seed carbohydrate 0.53%, net income Rs.45280/ha and B.C. ratio upto 2.47. Amongst the biofertilizer treatments, Rhizobium + PSB performed the best with respect to all these parameters. The treatment interactions were found to be non-significant in case of grain yield per hectare. The findings allude that 60 kg S/ha with dual biofertilizers may be applied to achieve maximum productivity and economical gain from blackgram cv. JU-2.
